Very accommodating when I was marroned on island when last ferry was cancelled due to mechanical problems
Only motel on Vinalhaven. Free breakfast. Some rooms have amazing views of harbor. Built over water. Rooms have little quirks to them but are comfortable and many are equipped with a full kitchen. Building could use some TLC
The owner and girls that work there were super nice and would do anything to help you it was just the building that needed some attention.
Tidewater hotel is nice. Unique experience being over rhe rushing tidal water. Room had everything we needed. The town is very small. Only restaurant open was the sand bar. No lobster here!
Was at the Tidewater like 10 years ago and just loved it. This time we found it to be showing a lack of care. It had been freshly painted but a poor job. Coffee cups in room had a ring of coffee around top from sitting on tray which apparently had coffee spilled on it and no one had wiped up. We had 6 windows in our room and only one could be opened due to lack of hardware missing. One of the windows was broken and boarded up with a piece of particle board. Basically the place needs some TLC.
Very nice hotel, nice rushing water flows under.
