No other place of note on the island so this place can get by with an average menu of nothing terribly exciting. It does contain a cozy bar serving decent drinks and they do have a good wine selection.
Wine list OK. Cocktails ranged from terrible to excellent.
Food was pretty good. Crab cakes were A++. Steak cooked perfectly as ordered with some ridiculously good herbed french fries. "Mother in law"'s lobster gnocchi was just ridiculously good.
The combination of the unique and delicious farm-to-table food, plus the small intimate setting, makes Salt the ideal dining experience. Recommend reservations especially on weekends.
Good, not great. True, this is the best bet on the island but if this place was in any other city it would be average at best.
Fantastic wine selection and small plates featuring local ingredients. A great place that would stand out anywhere.
Staff was super kind, but service was pretty poor -- sparse water refills, drinks and plates placed in front of wrong diner, etc. Cocktails took, no joke, 13-15 minutes to arrive at the table.
